Batur Volcano Hike Experience with Mr. Trent & Ms. Tahlia
Mr. Trent and Ms. Tahlia is a tourist from Australia who vacationed in Bali for a week. When they contacted us, they ordered the Mount Batur Trekking, Batur Natural Hot Spring, Tegalalang Rice Terrace, Temen Coffee Plantation package.
When the tour schedule arrived, I picked them up at a villa in the Seminyak area around 2 AM. The first destination we will go to is Batur Volcano to do sunrise trekking activities.
From Seminyak to the start point of Batur Volcano sunrise trekking it takes 2 hours to travel. We talked about many things during this trip, long story short we arrived at the trekking start point in Kintamani.
To do sunrise trekking activities, we are assisted by local trekking guides. We chose to use a local guide because of their ability to know the trekking terrain and they also know very well the best photo spots in Batur Volcano.
The activity begins with a safety briefing and distribution of trekking equipment. This activity takes 2 hours to reach the top of Batur Volcano. Arriving at the top of the mountain, the guide prepares breakfast for Mr. Trent and Ms. Tahlia. The breakfast provided is quite simple, but delicious to eat at the top of the mountain especially accompanied by a beautiful sunrise.
After a while and the sun had started to rise, we continued our activity by descending Mount Batur to then proceed to the next tour plan. Arriving at the trekking start point, Mr. Trent and his wife decided not to go to the natural hot springs. Instead, we continued our trip to a coffee plantation to see how coffee powder was made using traditional manufacturing methods.
At this coffee plantation, every tourist will be given the opportunity to taste plantation products for free. In addition, those who want to buy products here can too.
After tasting product samples and seeing how local people make coffee grounds traditionally, we then headed to Tegalalang for lunch. We invite Mr. Trent and his wife for lunch at one of the cozy restaurants.
This restaurant has a dining area surrounded by a koi fish pond and a beautiful view of the rice fields. Mr. Trent and his wife really enjoy eating here. They say this place is convenient for lunch.
After lunch, we took them back to their villa in Seminyak and our tour ended here.

Very good tour! No cheating and Gusti is an excellent driver and guide
We made the tour with the elephant ride, waterfall, rice terraces, Ubud art village and Batuan Temple. Very well organized and all was included in the price (lunch and tickets). Gusti, our driver, was a very nice guy, who spoke very good English and explained to us many of the customs and traditions in Bali. He was always patient and extremely friendly.

Great tours provided
We found the Lokabali leaflet amongst others at the airport and opted for 2 of their trips during our stay. First, from Ubud, we did a full day tour (ref: LBT20) of some of the North of Bali, including Taman Ayun (royal family temple), coffee plantation (to find out about the famous Luwak coffee!), Ulun Danu temple (on lake Beratan in the mountains), Jatiluwih (UNESCO World heritage site of rice fields AMAZING) and ending at Tanah Lot temple for sunset (ruined by heavy rain but you can't control nature!). With lunch and dinner included and Leo driving us, we had a great day and all for $55/person. We then moved to Sanur and did a 2nd full day tour (ref:LBT09 $50/person) in the South of the island which included Snorkerling, a glass bottom boat trip to Turtle island (a bit of a disappointment) followed by a quick lunch before heading off to Nusa Dua. This is where we saw the blow hole on the cliffs and visited one of the nicest beaches we have seen during our holiday. Following this, we headed to Uluwatu temple (AMAZING but beware the monkeys!) before ending for dinner at Jimbaran beach to watch the sunset. Gusti was our driver/guide for the day and we echo all the previous reviews in that his careful driving, extensive knowledge, helpful and useful information, friendliness and general care for us throughout the day made this a memorable trip. Thanks Gusti. We only did the 2 tours and there are many more on offer, but I would not hesitate in recommending Lokabali (and especially Gusti) as your tour organiser whilst on Bali.

One of the best tour guide
I went with my family to Bali the first time, we feel good that we chose this company because of many reasons. First, Gusti (our tour guide) arranged the tour as per our requests. Second, he can speak English very well and is very polite. Third, he also drive very well (as I went with the elderly, safety is very important). Finally, the guides provided were very experinced and nice.

Excellent Tour guide
We did 3 tours with them. Gusti was our guide for 2 of the day long trips and was an excellent tour guide. Very resourceful and knowledgeable about the places we visit. He was very respectful But also friendly at the same time. He explained about any questions we had about local culture, cuisine, history and was very jovial. Also his english is good and that makes a huge difference while conversing compared to the other drivers we used. Recommend him for your tours

An amazing, memorable trip
We had a great experience with Yoga from Lokabali. Such a friendly, tour guide plus he's great at taking photos. We had a wonderful experience(five day tour) with Yoga our driver, a really nice local people, always on time and always with a big smile. He also has great music taste - we had an awesome time in the car. He talk us about the culture / history of Bali and show us beautiful places to visite save us a lot of time. In five days we had a real discovery of Bali's people and sightseeings. Thank you again Yoga and hope to see you at the next time!

Awesome tour guide!
We had to make a last minute change to our trip and Gusti and his team made it possible for us to enjoy our time in Bali - albeit a short one. They helped to plan according to our needs and timing, and we enjoyed every moment of it. Even the impromptu car-rocking session throughout our trip.

Our guides in Bali
Arriving in Bali, we took the first available brochure with tours and did not regret it. The prices are good - on average, a little higher ($ 3-6) than the options that were found on the Internet later, but much lower than those offered by the tour operator (2 times). With Lokabali and driver Gusti visited rafting, Ubud, volcano, waterfalls, Taman-Ayun, Tanah Lot, Ulu Watu, rice terraces. It was unusual for us that we went on excursions alone, not in a group. I really liked that almost everywhere there was enough time - there was no need to run, rush. Gusti is a great driver. It was calm with him both in heavy traffic and on a mountain serpentine. We asked him all the way about different statues, plants and facts. He kindly answered, told legends and customs. Despite my not very good English, we found a common language. The brochure does not indicate what you need to take with you for each of the tours, it is better to always check this by phone when ordering a tour. Perhaps, if you want to know more information, but do not speak English well, then it would be convenient to go to "cultural" programs (temples, sacred places) with a Russian-speaking guide who would tell "how ships plow ..."))) And so Gusti in front of each place gave brief information about what it was, when it was built. In those places where he accompanied us, he always offered to take a joint photo with my husband. We are glad that we used the services of Lokabali. We wish them good luck, keep the brand in this service!
