30th wedding anniversary celebration in Bali

Have just returned from a 10 day visit to Bali (Sanur and Ubud) ... having arrived in a strange place, we were a bit unsure of who to ask to assist with tours etc. We had picked up a brochure at the airport and on working through the different tours / operators in our hotel room, came across "Loka Bali Tours" ... in no time had two day trips booked (in Sanur we did one of the water sport adventures" and because we were so impressed with them we immediately booked our tour in Ubud) . Gusti was our tour guide. He was amazing. He collected us when he said he would, took us places and explained the history of the island. His English was great and we had no difficulty understanding him. We could ask him anything and he had an answer. Pricing was more than competitive (in actual fact we had done a bit of "shopping" and LokaBali came out tops in terms of pricing each time) - so real value for money. Thank you to LokaBali for making our trip memorable - for having the patience to stick it out as we wanted to take photo's photo's and more photo's ... I would highly recommend Gusti to anybody looking at trips in and around the island. Lokabali was very professional, extremely timeous and friendly at all times. We had a really great time and certainly got to see what we wanted. Keep it up Gusti. Thank you. You certainly come highly recommended.

So worth it & a fantastic time!

My friends and I booked the tour the day before and everything was handled promptly and the process was very easy! Gusti, our driver and guide, was an absolute gem and he really was a highlight of our day - not only was he very friendly and helpful, he also explained quite a few things on the way (especially at the Temple). The tour itself was packed with activities we all enjoyed and we got a lot done in a day, which was great value for money too. I’d recommend this business and tour for anyone looking for something worthwhile to do during their time in Bali and I’d like to thank Gusti once again for having been so lovely to our friend group :)

Excellent Tour guide

We did 3 tours with them. Gusti was our guide for 2 of the day long trips and was an excellent tour guide. Very resourceful and knowledgeable about the places we visit. He was very respectful But also friendly at the same time. He explained about any questions we had about local culture, cuisine, history and was very jovial. Also his english is good and that makes a huge difference while conversing compared to the other drivers we used. Recommend him for your tours

Awesome tour guide!

We had to make a last minute change to our trip and Gusti and his team made it possible for us to enjoy our time in Bali - albeit a short one. They helped to plan according to our needs and timing, and we enjoyed every moment of it. Even the impromptu car-rocking session throughout our trip.

Gusti is The Man!!

My Hubby & I have visited Bali twice in the past 18 months, and my brother suggested we try using Gusti as our guide on the first trip. He had spent many a holiday under Gusti's wing. Wow! We could not have asked for a kinder, more honest, organised or informed person to show us the sites and wonders of Bali. We had no idea what to do or where to go, and he made everything so easy. Nothing was too much trouble, and even planning dates, trips and pick-ups from Australia was never an issue. We loved it so much we found ourselves booking a second trip the following year. This year having a little more knowledge we knew what we wanted to do and asked Gusti to make it happen. Which he did, and totally exceeded any expectations we had! Gusti isn't just a tour guide, he is a mate. Nothing is too much trouble, and we sincerely hope that people discover what a pleasure Bali is when they see it with you!! Our guides in Bali

Arriving in Bali, we took the first available brochure with tours and did not regret it. The prices are good - on average, a little higher ($ 3-6) than the options that were found on the Internet later, but much lower than those offered by the tour operator (2 times). With Lokabali and driver Gusti visited rafting, Ubud, volcano, waterfalls, Taman-Ayun, Tanah Lot, Ulu Watu, rice terraces. It was unusual for us that we went on excursions alone, not in a group. I really liked that almost everywhere there was enough time - there was no need to run, rush. Gusti is a great driver. It was calm with him both in heavy traffic and on a mountain serpentine. We asked him all the way about different statues, plants and facts. He kindly answered, told legends and customs. Despite my not very good English, we found a common language. The brochure does not indicate what you need to take with you for each of the tours, it is better to always check this by phone when ordering a tour. Perhaps, if you want to know more information, but do not speak English well, then it would be convenient to go to "cultural" programs (temples, sacred places) with a Russian-speaking guide who would tell "how ships plow ..."))) And so Gusti in front of each place gave brief information about what it was, when it was built. In those places where he accompanied us, he always offered to take a joint photo with my husband. We are glad that we used the services of Lokabali. We wish them good luck, keep the brand in this service!

Great trip with a great guide

Great tour with a clear & transparent itinerary! You know exactly what you can expect and you will not get disappointed. Highly recommended for European tourists. The price for that service is fair.
